BMIBMI - Body mass index is measure of body fat based on height and weight that applies to both adult men and women. BMI can be used to indicate if you are overweight, obese, underweight or normal.
BMI uses a mathematical formula that takes into account both a person's height and weight. BMI equals:
- a person's weight in kilograms divided by height in meters squared. (BMI=kg/m2).
or
- dividing your weight in pounds by your height in inches squared and then multiplying by 705.
